Black and White Wednesday

Taken 4 years ago this month on the North side of Maui, Hawaii. My husband earned a family trip with his work and we all headed to Hawaii for 3 weeks!!

It was a vacation of a life time and our boys still talk about it to this day, even my little man that was 2 1/2 at the time!!

This was late afternoon and the clouds were looking pretty crazy.

Our kids ask if we will ever go back again as a family?? Well if we ever win the lottery which would mean we would have to play the lottery! ha

Maybe if the economy picks back up and business is good again sometime in the future??

It was the most amazing time and I can see why the boys still talk about it like it was yesterday.

For more B&W's see Lisa's Blog.

Wow...that is a trip of a lifetime and how wonderful that you got to share enjoy it as a family!...for THREE whole weeks, nonetheless!! Truly a blessing!

We spent 1 week in Kauai, and I thought I was in Heaven. It really went by too fast, so I think a second week would've been about perfect!

NEAT photo!

Another great photo! I love the way you capture landscapes. Very cool contrast. I so want to travel to Hawaii. Why do the plane tickets to get there have to be so incredibly expensive!?! {sigh} I imagine you had three weeks in heaven! :)

What a stunning shot! I have friends who just went to Hawaii on vacation and said it was the best vacation of their lives, too. Maybe someday you'll get to go back, but if not, you've got some fantastic memories!

Wow! What an incredible shot! I can't believe you got to go on vacation for 3 weeks with the entire family! These days, if we can squeeze a full week's vacation, it seems like the ultimate extravagance! I hope you do get to take the whole family down again to create some new memories. If not, you can always revisit the old ones :)

Crazy clouds! Beautiful too! and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the composition of this.

Hawaii is so special - My 11 year old has been wanting to go there forever. We "might" get a day and a night there on our way back to the US from Hawaii. (free! so we "might" get to go)

April,
Thanks so much for the sweet comment you left on my blog! This has been quite a journey, the adoption and surgery/recovery, but I wouldn't want to change a thing! We've learned so much and grown so much in the Lord through it all! I can't wait to get John Asher home and I have a feeling he will have a ton of energy! He is already giving us a run and keeping the nurses busy here in the hospital by pulling out tubes and such!

I am very excited for you to bring home your new daughter. I loved reading her responses to the questions you asked her! Such an exciting time for your family.

My husband and I traveled to Maui in 2000 on a free trip sponsored by his company as well and we both say it was the best vacation we've ever taken in our life! I just love your black and white pictures. I love photography as well, particularly black and white, but obviously my time isn't being spent there right now since I don't have it. But I'll get back into it some day!

I look forward to following your blog and your journey to bring Gemma home!

Blessings,
Robyn

Sounds like a trip of a lifetime. We have had some of those "lucky" trips with family and I know I will never forget them.

Thinking of all of you and can't wait til you go get Gemma!

I have not had the pleasure to visit Hawaii as yet and I would soooo love to. It seems the farther east we move, the longer it's going to take for us to make that trip! Great pic!
