**GIVEAWAY** **GIVEAWAY**

** I will be using Random.org at 12:00pm pacific to pick the winner!! Stay tuned!!

Im so excited to have my first GIVEAWAY!

In my spare time, who am I kidding! (Ha) But seriously when I do have time I love to make jewelry. I have been doing it for years. A couple years ago I came across these sterling silver ladybug charms and finally decided to make something with one of them.

This necklace is made of red seed beads, red coral, and all the metal is sterling silver. The charm on the side of the necklace says "HOPE" which represents every orphan and their hope and longing for a forever family, and our hope to finally have them in our arms. The heart charm on the back of the necklace represents an adopted child being born in our heart. The ladybug is a symbol of good luck and love.

Put it all together and you have;
"The Red Thread Ladybug of Hope" necklace made by me.

I don't really know what I would retail it for. I have never sold anything I have made. I usually just give them away.

So I will leave this GIVEAWAY open until 12:00pm Jan. 6th! Please leave a comment with this post and one lucky winner will win this necklace!!

I know not everyone that reads always comments so this is your chance to come out and say HI and let me know you read my blog. Can't wait to meet everyone!!

Absolutely beautiful necklace, April. I know how symbolic the creation must have been- and how much good luck it would bring as the color and ladybug are so symbolic of such in China. God has given you a talent. Blessings go out to you, your family, and your adoption process!

Yes! I say sell 'em! The necklace is super-cute/meaningful to all of us who have been in or are currently in the process of meeting our Ladybugs. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have been following your blog since I noticed a picture (I think on the agency's site) that showed you with your FOUR boys and lil Ladybug...we also have four boys and are waiting to meet our daughter! So, it CAN be done!

Sooooooo cute, April. I had no idea you were so crafty. Agree with PP, you need to start selling this stuff.

Ok, you totally need an etsy shop; why not?? The adoption jewelry/ladybug stuff goes like hot cakes!! And when people know it is for an adoption fundraiser; they will usually pay MORE for their items!

I think you just found your first following on etsy- I am guessing the comments will triple by the time the giveaway ends :)

It's beautiful!

Beautiful necklace!!! You are very talented. Our daughter is called Lydia Hope and we adopted her last June from China. Your family are very cute indeed! I would save the necklace for her to wear when she is older.... if I won of course!

Have you thought about making more and selling them to raise money? You could make them for being not just interested in Chinese adoptions but other countries too!

I love things made with symbolism. They are always so much more special than just beads on a string. Love the sentiments in this piece.

I love the necklace and it's beautiful meaning! I have been lurking off and on. We received our referrals from Holt the same time back in 08, but we didn't get home until October 1st. It was fun to follow your journey to bring Ava home while I was packing for my own trip. Congratulations on Gemma also! I had seen her file on Holt's list. She is beautiful! Best wishes. Christy

What a great necklace! It really jumped out at me for several reasons: 1. Red is my favorite color! 2. Ladybugs, my favorite! Everytime I see one, it reminds me to pray for our little boy who is currently waiting for us in China and also to pray for all of the orphans waiting for their forever families! 3. HOPE- Long story short, God planted a dream in my heart a couple of years ago to start a camp for children with special needs. Well, it is named, Hope Hollow. Hope is something that we try to give to these special families by sharing Jesus' love with their children. Therefore, HOPE is one of my favorite words!

My daughters LID is 08/10/2006 so this week she will have been waiting 41 months. She lives in Phoenix, and I live in Utah. Her birthday is Jan. 14th and I am flying down to spend a couple of days with her to try and cheer her up. They are almost at the point of dropping out, and I hope they don't because I am so attached to my future Chinese granddaughter already. I am trying to find her a present to represent her adoption and this red necklace would be perfect. Do you have one you would sell? You could e-mail me at: hawkerc@infowest.com Thanks
