Ava had her second Cardio appointment last week. The first one was a couple weeks after we came home from China. It was night and day difference! She did so well and held so still, they were able to get a real good ultrasound picture. With those great pictures they were able to see that her pulmonary artery is still too narrow and not supplying enough blood to the lungs. So we have surgery scheduled for April 28th at the Children's Hospital. They will go in through her leg and use a balloon to stretch the artery, if that does not work then the surgeon will put a stint in. I am not sure how long this procedure takes? I am pretty nervous but with our faith in God I know all will be fine.

Know that we will be praying for sweet Ava. I know that she will do fine!!
She did great for her appointment! She looked so interested in all the wires and stickers. So sweet!
Her hair is really growing fast. Gotta love her little fountain on the top of her head :)
I am so sorry. I will be praying like the dickens for sweet little Ava. I found out after I adopted Emma that she has pulmonary valve stenosis and we had a trip to the cardiologist last November that looked a lot like Ava's. Thankfully, Emma's will probably grow with her. If not, she'll have to have a balloon stent done when she's about 5.
Will be praying for sweet Ava. She looks very brave. Please keep us posted.
Best,
Jessica
Ava's bravery reflects her love, trust and bonding with her forever family! Will be praying for her. Please keep us posted. Blessings, Kim
Sweet Baby!!! I am praying for little Ava and for your whole family to feel peace through the procedure!! She's a strong little girl...
Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers, it means a lot to us!!
Well, with her Daddy right there I guess she figured she was safe and sound so she could sit still.
Sorry to hear she needs more surgery but she will be in the very best hands with Mom and Dad.
Which Childrens' Hospital? Are you going to Cincinnati?
