What a beautiful Autumn Moon Festival it was yesterday!!!! We enjoyed a yummy Chinese dinner and loads of ice cream instead of Moon cakes per the kids request!! ha Next year I will make my own yummy Moon cakes and we can have ice cream on the side!!
Yes, you are reading that right we have TA!!!!! It came about 4:30pm and I was totally not expecting it at all because it has been only 4 business days since our Article 5!!! So it was a double celebration last night.
We are leaving in 30 days, Holy Cow my head is spinning!!! Any tips on travel would be great or anything you could not live without especially for an older child. I have a huge list but it is so overwhelming right now!! I had to have a glass of wine last night just to calm myself down! It has been months and months since I have had wine!!!
We still have to switch rooms around too and paint!!! O MY GOODNESS!!!

Yes, my head is spinning like a top. I just got back from my agency..... we got our itinerary and our flights all taken care of..... now it is time to pack and that is really stressing me out.

I am not sure how old your beautiful Gemma is, but we came home with our 10YO son in July.
Items to take: a backpack just for her! Our son took his everywhere and still has his treasures he brought with him in it.
Our son also is very much a *baby* in many ways, wanting DH to carry him around, lots of hugs and kisses, etc. In China, he was not as affectionate but at times he was. Now he is very much so and I think in part it reassures him.
Adopting older is a wonderful experience, different but equally wonderful. Of course, some days are just plain exhausting! But nonetheless, congrats and hope it goes well.
Oh and buy more DVDs and books over there. I wish I had bought more: anything bilingual is great. hard to find here and much more expensive.

We did recieve our NVC finally & it is in route to China & we were cabled Sept. 14th! Hopefully it won't be long now & we will be posting the same 2 letters!!!

I am completely crazy excited for all of you...and what's more...you'll actually be traveling with my two sweet girlfriends, Lisa & Marla! Lisa called me right away to tell me that you were going to be there with Gemma when she is there with Reagan. I am sooooooo happy and only wish I could be there to watch two of the best mothers I know finally have their daughters placed in their arms! I know you will all take amazing pictures and I'll be hanging on every word.
